Is the Bachelor a fame whore?

Ex alleges Jake Pavelka seeks fame, not love
It happens every time The Bachelor or The Bachelorette concludes.
In the weeks following a love match, ex-boyfriends and girlfriends come forward to air dirty laundry, to
tell tales of infidelity and fake love.
It happened with Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, and now it’s happening with Jake Pavelka.
ABC’s latest Bachelor – who chose Vienna Girardi in the tearful March 1 finale and is currently appearing on Dancing With the Stars – has been accused of seeking fame, not love, on the relationship reality show.
The New York Daily News and Life & Style magazine report that Pavelka’s former lady love, 24-year-old Tanya Douglas, has the text messages to prove it.
“I don’t think he has any idea what he wants, except to be on TV,” she told the magazine. “If staying with Vienna means more TV time, I think he might stay with her.”
Douglas outlines that she first met the hunky airline pilot on a flight to North Carolina. Love blossomed after he slipped her a note via a flight attendant. Douglas says the relationship ended when he took part in The Bachelorette, but resumed after Jillian Harris eliminated him.
Pavelka accepted the Bachelor gig, Douglas alleges, after he realized he could make a lot of money doing it, explaining that he was paid $500,000 to be on the series and only has to continue dating Girardi for 30 days.
“In the end we can still be together and have the money,” she recalls him saying. “I’m not going on the show to find love. I’ve found the love of my life with you.”
Pavelka has maintained that he is in love with Girardi and that his relationship with Douglas just didn’t work out.
Watch him trip the light fantastic on Dancing With the Stars on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on A/ABC.
