Controversial artist joins episode; deets on April return
There’s just under a month before Glee’s anticipated return, but the cast and producers were sounding off on future episodes this weekend at Paley Fest.
According to show creator Ryan Murphy, Neil Patrick Harris and Kristen Chenoweth aren’t the
only stars stopping by the set: the series has officially reached out to controversial artist Lady Gaga, and she’s said yes.
That doesn’t mean the star herself will appear on the series; it could simply mean one of her songs will be sampled on the show. There are no details on when, where or how, but that story should come down the pipe within the next month or so. We’re smelling some “Bad Romance,” ourselves.
Meanwhile, producers confirmed that Harris will perform two songs with series star Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester): Aerosmith’s “Dream On” and a song by Billy Joel. They also confirmed that Chenoweth will appear in the third episode back to reprise her role as April.
Of course, no Glee news would be complete without an update on Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). The character will get a makeover in the Madonna episode, which would explain why she’s tapped to make her vocal debut to “Vogue.”
