Well, Maybe It Is Over
by Ryan Porter
Though they attempted to save the marriage, Tiger and Elin are just calling it quits, Entertainment Tonight reports.
Well, they had a
good run. Not counting the last six months.
But ultimately no amount of rehab or mournful Nike commercials could persuade Elin Nordegren to stay with Tiger Woods, Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier is reporting.
"The couple hasn't spoken for quite some time and it is believed that all they have to do is work out a few more details on their divorce," Kevin says. "Then they can sign the divorce decree and both can move on with their lives." Great! I'll join them.
Kevin says the fact that Elin booked a trip to Arizona during the final round of the Masters last week was a sign that she really didn't want anything more to do with him. "Usually with her husband at his biggest tournament she would be there waiting for him in case he won," he says. "Instead she made a plan so that she would be in the air while Tiger was playing."
Uhhh, I don't think not attending an event that is sure to put a huge spotlight on her shaky marriage is evidence that a wife is leaving her husband. But putting this marriage out of its misery is probably for the best, like the death of Old Yeller, or the cancellation of Roseanne. Letting it go on just causes too much pain.
