Anti-malaria drug produced from tobacco plants.

Israeli researchers have genetically engineered tobacco plants to produce the anti-malaria drug, Artemisinin. The scientists say their research could widen the drug's availability to
treat a disease that, in Africa alone, kills hundreds of thousands children annually.
